YardEcoScore Methodology v1.0

The YardEcoScore methodology is informed by widely accepted habitat and sustainable-landscaping principles. It evaluates your yard across six areas that influence ecological function:

Habitat Diversity & Wildlife Support
Lawn & Landscape Intensity
Pesticides & Chemical Inputs
Soil & Natural Yard Processes
Water & Stormwater

Your responses are evaluated using the proprietary YardEcoScore methodology, which considers both the ecological importance of each category and your yard’s performance within it. The resulting 0–100 score is designed to provide a practical, directional picture of your yard’s ecological value and identify the improvements likely to make the greatest difference.
